Milestead Privacy Policy

Our core pledge

Your location is yours. We never sell location data, routes, or account details to data brokers, ad networks, or insurers. There are no ads in Milestead and no ad SDKs.

Data taxonomy

Information we collect

Milestead collects the minimum needed to run the game — and most of it never leaves your phone. We do not collect background location, health or biometric data, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers.

Run location (on-device)

GPS points sampled during an active run you start, used on your phone to find harvested cells. Raw traces stay on the device.

Harvest records (synced)

Harvested cell IDs with resource and amount, run summaries (distance, cells, totals), inventory, buildings, and age — no coordinates, no route.

Account & contact

Your sign-in credentials and nation profile; emails you send us (early-access list, support) and what they contain.

Safety architecture

Location & on-device processing

Harvest by proximity, never by trespass. Cells pay out when your path passes near them. Never enter private, industrial, or restricted property for the game — and never watch the map while moving near traffic.

Stays on your phone

Raw GPS traces

Every coordinate sampled during a run is processed locally to compute harvests, then kept on the device. We cannot see, sell, or leak a route we never receive.

Syncs to your account

Cell IDs + quantities

Only the outcome syncs: which cells were harvested and how much of each resource — the minimum needed to keep your nation consistent across devices.

    Turning your runs into resources, buildings, and ages.

  • Plausibility checks

    Speed, GPS-accuracy, and daily harvest caps that reject vehicle movement and spoofed points so honest runners stay on equal footing.

  • Your stats & support

    Distance, cells, and haul history for your profile — and answering messages you send us. Anonymous, cookieless Plausible analytics measures site visits only.

User autonomy

Retention & deletion

Your game data lives primarily on your device. Account deletion — including server-side records — will be available in the app's settings before release, as both app stores require.

Delete my data

In-app deletion is coming with the release build. Until then, email hello@thehotchpotch.dev and we'll remove your early-access or support records manually.

Export & questions

Ask for a copy of anything we hold about you at the same address. We respond to privacy requests directly — no portals, no dark patterns.
